Recap - June Monthly Meeting

Hello D20 Community, 

CEC 20 held its monthly meeting this past Wednesday at P.S. 69 Vincent D. Grippo School! Thank you very much to the staff who were incredibly helpful and happy to host our final meeting for our current council members. We very much appreciate the student performances and thank you to everyone who joined us, whether in person or online, your engagement and valuable input is much appreciated! Notable topics discussed at our meeting include - 

Superintendent Report

Dr. David Pretto's report included various topics including a presentation on the 2026 Contract For Excellence and Class Size Engagement Proposed Plan, an update on iReady reading and math placement scores in District 20, parent survey results, and a presentation on District 20 Priority 2 2024 - 2025 DCEP Goals: Physical and Emotional.  

Final Meeting for Current Council 

As our current council members conclude their terms, this meeting served as their final session. We especially acknowledge CEC President Stephen Stowe, whose leadership has been instrumental during his tenure. We extend our deepest gratitude to each member for their unwavering dedication in serving as a vital voice for parents and a pillar within our community. We wish them all the very best in their future endeavors.
