CEC 20 held its monthly meeting last night at I.S. 201 The Madeleine Brennan School! We are thankful for the staff and Principal Ciulla who were extremely helpful and excited to host our meeting. Office of Safety and Prevention Partnerships
Security Director Mark Rampersant and his team joined our meeting to discuss student safety. The discussion included safety measures, means of addressing harassment, discrimination, and bullying, Local Law 51, and recommendations to CEC 20s Anti-Bullying Resolution.
Report of Superintendent
Dr. Pretto's report included a presentation on School Budgets for School Year 2025 - 2026. This presentation included a review of the New York City Public Schools and District Budget, Review of Fair Student Funding, and Review of School Budget Webpages.
Resolutions
CEC 20 approved two resolutions. Resolution 3 which aims fix the safety transfer process and address increase in bullying, harassment and discrimination in NYC Public Schools and Resolution 4 requesting District 20 create a geometry course for middle schools. Both resolutions are attached.
