Dear District 20 Community,
We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who joined us last night for our informative and engaging December Meeting at P.S. 176. Most importantly, we must extend a special thank you to Principal Culkin and the entire P.S. 176 team. Their incredible hospitality truly set the tone for the evening. From the festive decorations and delicious food to the seamless preparation and helpful support, their efforts went above and beyond. We felt welcomed and appreciated every step of the way.
The meeting itself covered a range of important topics:
A presentation from the Office of Food and Nutrition on their upcoming projects to promote healthy habits in our schools.
Superintendent David Pretto's insightful discussion on the HMH Literacy Program including access to the online platform, parent engagement, and its impact on student learning
CEC 20 passed Resolution 5 - Enhancing Student Security By Increasing School Safety Agents. This resolution asks to increase the number of School Safety Agents available to the schools in District 20. Â
And most importantly, an extensive and productive conversation regarding student safety in District 20.Â
As we move forward, we are committed to keeping you informed and engaged in the important decisions that affect our children's education and well-being. We encourage you to stay connected by visiting our website, attending future meetings, and reaching out to your community representatives with any questions or suggestions. If you were unable to attend last night's meeting, please visit our YouTube channel to watch the entire recording. Thank you once again for your attendance and active participation. We look forward to seeing you at the next meeting on January 10th!Â
