May Monthly Meeting Recap

Hello D20 Community, 

CEC 20 held its monthly meeting last Wednesday at M.S. 936 Arts of 3rd! Thank you to everyone who joined our meeting, whether you were with us in person or online! We are very thankful to the staff at M.S. 936 including Principal Proudfoot, who graciously hosted our meeting which included several student performances. The live student performances were amazing! We had some very important discussions - 

Meeting Overview

Marisol Negron-Pescetto from the Office of Family and Community Empowerment (FACE) provided parents an overview on how to become certified Family Connectors. Superintendent Dr. Pretto's monthly report detailed upcoming district events, a new Spanish dual-language program at P.S. 186, and an inclusive kindergarten pilot program for District 75 students. Dr. Pretto and the community also celebrate two local students for their top finishes in the region. CEC members, community members, and Dr. Pretto also held a collaborative discussion regarding anxieties over classroom artificial intelligence and student data privacy.
