July Monthly Meeting Recap

Hello D20 Community, 

CEC 20 held its monthly meeting last Wednesday at P.S. 69 Vincent D. Grippo! Thank you to everyone who joined our meeting, whether you were with us in person or online! We are very thankful to the staff at P.S. 69, including Principal Yenzer, who graciously hosted our meeting which included several student performances. The live student performances were amazing! We had some very important discussions - 

Guest Speakers and Presentations 

Nancy Sottile, Executive Director of Federation of Italian-American Organizations of Brooklyn, Presentation from District 79 - Alternatives Schools and Programs, Sandra Escamilla-Davies - NYC Department of Youth & Community Development presented on Afterschool Programming needs in District 20. Presentation from Office of District Planning on Progress Update on K082 included new information on the new school opening in District 20. 

Resolutions

CEC 20 voted and approved Resolution 7 - Transparency on Department of Youth and Community Development and  

Resolution 8 - Resolution to Establish Developmentally Appropriate Screen Time Limits, Data Transparency, and Student Privacy Protections in New York City Public Schools
